Removal of cognitive and sensory barriers at the Irpino Museum,
funded the project under the Pnrr

The Province obtains another funding as part of the Pnrr measures. Green light to the project for the removal of cognitive and sensory barriers at the Irpino Museum. The total amount of resources assigned is 345,497.03 euros.

The proposed interventions aim to implement accessibility solutions in the sections of the Museum to contribute to the removal of sensory and cognitive barriers. The museum itineraries object of the activities will be completed and enhanced in order to offer different levels of information and knowledge, graduating the complexity of reading.
Paths differentiated by type of user will be avoided, leaving the visitor free to choose how to build their own cultural and emotional experience, facilitating access to people with visual, cognitive and hearing difficulties through the expansion of multisensory interaction.
In particular, to increase the quality of services and make the cultural contents of the museum more usable, tools and solutions will be implemented to improve the conditions of accessibility and use from the outside through an innovative digital approach with the aim of increasing information for everyone users.
Again thanks to the use of new technologies, tools will be implemented that allow for expanded use to ensure an adequate visit experience; improve the info-reception services, through specialized personnel and provide courtesy services; facilitate spatial and sensory orientation with the introduction of horizontal and vertical paths.
